Cumhuriyet International Education Journal publishes high-quality studies based on research conducted with qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods on disciplinary/interdisciplinary learning, career planning, professional development processes, family participation in education and lifelong learning covering early childhood, primary school, secondary school, high school and higher education levels.

The studies that CUED prioritizes are as follows:

1. Establishing the connection between theory and practice and supporting teacher training processes,

2. Examining in depth the development, management and supervision issues in education,

3. Transferring the thoughts of students, parents, teachers and administrators in natural education environments to well-designed studies,

4. Evaluating local policies, programs and innovations from an international perspective,

5. Helping to develop new education models, measurement tools and interdisciplinary research designs,

6. Combining learning environments with technology,

7. Multidisciplinary (interdisciplinary) and transdisciplinary (above-disciplinary) studies (such as STEM),

8. Developing educational measurement tools and testing their usefulness at the same time,

9. Including technology integration that helps develop educational practices,

10. Developing a new theoretical or applied educational model and evaluating this model,

11. Supporting the professional development processes of teachers.

*Studies that have the above characteristics but at least one of the following characteristics will not be included in the peer review process.

1. Literature review and book analysis studies,

2. Studies that include analysis of textbooks,

3. Simple quantitative studies conducted with only one independent variable (for example, the effect of variable x on variable y),

4. Simple qualitative or quantitative studies conducted with only one data collection tool (for example, analyses conducted only according to demographic variables, only through interviews or scales),

5. Studies based only on the opinions of the participants,

6. Quantitative studies that are not conducted with a sufficient number of samples (In such studies, accepted formulas in the literature should be taken into consideration and a minimum sample size limit should be determined depending on the universe.),

7. Attitudes, behaviors, etc. formed by university students towards a course they take. studies measuring its characteristics,

8. Metaphor studies,

9. Local studies outside the scope of international topics (For example, studies only aimed at developing and adapting simple (non-international, local focused) scales),

10. Studies outside the focus of educational sciences,

11. Studies conducted with weak scientific methods, with low validity and reliability (For example, studies that do not perform content analysis even though content analysis is mentioned, studies with weak quantitative/qualitative data analysis),

12. Studies whose place and importance in the literature are not clearly explained (For example, studies that do not explain the contribution of the study to the literature on the relevant subject, its theoretical place and infrastructure in a qualified manner).
