This study, it is aimed to examine the relationships between maternal attitudes in children's nutrition process, adaptive eating behaviors, emotion regulation and attachment. The research was designed in relational screening model. The sample of the study consists of 144 children attending official kindergartens in Niğde province and their mothers. In data collection, Maternal Attitudes Questionnaire in Nutrition Process and Early Childhood Adaptive Eating Behaviors Questionnaire developed by Dilsiz and Dağ (2018), Emotion Regulation Questionnaire adapted to Turkish by Batum and Yağmurlu (2007), and Doll Completion Story Task (DCST) adapted to Turkish by Uluç (2005) were used. As a result of the research, children's attachment styles to the primary attachment figure show a significant difference in favor of girls. In addition, it was found that there is a negative and significant relationship between primary attachment style and emotion regulation "negativity" sub-dimension and maternal attitudes in nutrition process, on the other hand, there is a positive and significant relationship between emotion regulation "negativity" sub-dimension and maternal attitudes in nutrition process and adaptive eating behaviors. Nutrition is an important context to be considered in the parent-child relationship and forms the basis for the child's attachment to the primary caregiver. In this context, it is recommended to conduct more research about children on the subject.
