An Examination Of University Students’ The Locus Of Control Levels According To The Satisfaction Of Basic Psychological Needs, Unconditional Self-Acceptance And Rumination

Öz

This research is a descriptive survey research that aims to examine whether the satisfaction of basic psychological needs, unconditional self-acceptance, rumination, gender and perceived parental attitudes significantly predict university students’ locus of control levels. The participants of the research are 487 university students. In order to obtain the data necessary for the research, "Locus of Control Scale", "Psychological Needs Scale", "Unconditional Self-Acceptance Scale" and "Rumination Scale" and "Personal Information Form" were used. SPSS21 Package Program was used to analyze the data. Linear Regression Analysis was performed to analyze the data. In the research, the significance level was taken as .05. According to the results of the research, it was found that satisfaction of basic psychological needs, rumination, gender and maternal attitudes were significant predictors of university students' locus of control levels. According to the results of the research, it was found that unconditional self-acceptance and father attitudes were not significant predictors of university students' locus of control levels.

Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Denetim Odağı Düzeylerinin Temel Psikolojik İhtiyaçların Doyumuna, Koşulsuz Kendini Kabule Ve Ruminasyona Göre İncelenmesi

Öz

Bu araştırma temel psikolojik ihtiyaçların doyumunun, koşulsuz kendini kabulün, ruminasyonun, cinsiyetin ve algılanan anne-baba tutumlarının üniversite öğrencilerinin denetim odağı düzeylerini anlamlı bir biçimde yordayıp yordamadığını incelemeyi amaçlayan betimsel bir tarama araştırmasıdır. Araştırmanın katılımcıları, 487 üniversite öğrencisidir. Araştırma için gerekli olan verileri elde etmek amacıyla “Denetim Odağı Ölçeği”, “Psikolojik İhtiyaçlar Ölçeği”, “Koşulsuz Kendini Kabul Ölçeği” ve “Ruminasyon Ölçeği” ile “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesi için SPSS21 Paket Programı’ndan yararlanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi için Doğrusal Regresyon Analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmada, anlamlılık düzeyi .05 olarak alınmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, temel psikolojik ihtiyaçların doyumunun, ruminasyonun, cinsiyetin ve anne tutumlarının üniversite öğrencilerinin denetim odağı düzeylerinin anlamlı yordayıcıları olduğu bulunmuştur. Araştırma sonucuna göre, koşulsuz kendini kabulün ve baba tutumlarının ise üniversite öğrencilerinin denetim odağı düzeylerinin anlamlı bir yordayıcısı olmadığı bulunmuştur.
