Romantik İlişkilerde Beklentiler ile Flört Şiddetine Yönelik Tutum Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between university students' attitudes towards dating violence, which affect their quality of life and well-being, and their expectations about romantic relationships, which are effective in the initiation, maintenance, and termination of a romantic relationship. In addition, it was examined whether there is a statistically significant difference between the scores obtained from the expectations about romantic relationships scale and the attitudes towards dating violence scale according to variables such as gender, length of romantic relationship, dating style, and whether the partner lives in the same or different city. The study group consisted of 321 university students between the ages of 18 and 25, who were studying in the 2021–2022 academic years and had a romantic relationship. Personal information forms, the Attitude towards Dating Violence Scale, and the Awareness of Expectations from Romantic Relationships Scale were used as data collection tools. T-Test, ANOVA, and correlation analyses were used to analyze the data. As a result of the analyses, no relationship was found between attitudes towards dating violence and awareness of expectations from romantic relationships. While there was a significant difference in attitudes towards dating violence according to gender, it was found that there was no difference according to the length of the romantic relationship, the way of meeting, or living in the same or different city with the partner. Awareness of expectations from romantic relationships did not differ according to gender, length of romantic relationship, dating style, or living in the same or different city with the partner. The results obtained from the study were discussed within the scope of the relevant literature.

Bu çalışmanın amacı üniversite öğrencilerinin yaşam kalitelerini ve iyi oluşlarını etkileyen flört şiddetine yönelik tutumlarının romantik bir ilişkinin başlatılması, sürdürülmesi ve sonlandırılmasında etkili olan romantik ilişkiye dair beklentiler ile ilişkisini incelemektir. Bunun yanı sıra romantik ilişkilere dair beklentiler ölçeği ile flört şiddetine yönelik tutum ölçeğinden alınan puanların cinsiyet, romantik ilişkinin uzunluğu, tanışma biçimi ve partnerin aynı/ farklı şehirde yaşaması gibi değişkenlere göre istatistiksel açından anlamlı bir farklılığın olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Çalışma grubunu 2021-2022 Eğitim-Öğretim yıllarında öğrenim gören 18-25 yaş aralığındaki, romantik ilişkiye sahip olan 321 üniversite öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak kişisel bilgi formu, Flört Şiddetine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği ve Romantik İlişkilerden Beklentilere Dair Farkındalık Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde parametrik tekniklerden T-Testi, Anova ve korelasyon analizine başvurulmuştur. Yapılan analiz sonucunda flört şiddetine yönelik tutum ile romantik ilişkilere dair beklentilere yönelik farkındalık arasında bir ilişki bulunmamıştır. Cinsiyete göre flört şiddetine yönelik tutum arasında anlamlı farklılık bulunurken, romantik ilişkinin uzunluğu, tanışma biçimi ve partnerle aynı/ farklı şehirde yaşama durumuna göre farklılaşmadığı bulunmuştur. Romantik ilişkilerden beklentilere dair farkındalık ise cinsiyete, romantik ilişkinin uzunluğuna, tanışma biçimine ve partnerle aynı/farklı şehirde yaşama durumuna göre farklılaşmamaktadır. Çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlar ilgili literatür kapsamında tartışılmıştır.
