Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

Journal of Sustainable Education Studies (JSES) is a peer-reviewed and international journal published 4 times a year (January, April, July, October).
Journal of Sustainable Education Studies (JSES) is a payment free journal.
The journal will include up-to-date and original research articles prepared with quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods.
The language of publication is Turkish and English.
Articles submitted to the journal should not have been published elsewhere or sent for publication.
Articles to be sent to the journal should be submitted via "jses.fsm.edu.tr", it should not be sent to editors or to the journal's contact address by e-mail.
Articles submitted to the journal are sent to the relevant field editor after the formal review of the assistant editor. Articles evaluated by the field editor for the journal's publication principles are submitted to 2 reviewers. In the preliminary examinations of the field editors, the studies are examined according to the following criteria:

a) Compliance with publication ethics

b) Compliance with journal publishing principles

c) Scientific originality and currency of the subject of the study

d) Contribution of the study subject to education

e) Compliance with writing rules and article writing template

Communication between the author(s) and reviewer is provided by the field editors and a double-blind peer review system is applied during the evaluation process.
Peer review evaluations are expected to take 2-4 weeks.
In accordance with the open access policy, journal issues and articles are published on the journal's web page and the full texts of the articles can be accessed as pdf files.
By “open access” to [peer-reviewed research literature], we mean its free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.
JSES views open-access to academic publications and research as an immutable part of academic endeavor. The journal does not charge for submission, handling, processing, and publication of manuscripts. The publisher recognizes the essence of public good provided by the journal and hence accepts its responsibility as a public service to academic and intellectual betterment.
All articles published by JSES are subject to the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) license.
