Algılanan Kariyer Engelleri (AKE) Ölçeği’nin Türk Kültürüne Uyarlama Çalışması

Öz

Bireyin
kariyerini yapılandırması aynı zamanda gelişim süreci içerisinde çevresine bir
uyum süreci olarak ele alınmalıdır. Eğer birey çevresinde kariyeri ile ilgili
engeller algılar ve bu engelleri aşamayacağını düşünürse, kariyer gelişimi için
ortaya koyacağı çabalar zarar görecektir. Bu çalışmada amaç bu engelleri
belirlemek amacıyla McWhirter (1997) tarafından geliştirilen “Algılanan Kariyer
Engelleri Ölçeğinin” Türk kültürüne uyarlanmasıdır. Bu amaçla öncelikle
açımlayıcı faktör analizi uygulanmış ve ölçeğin üç faktörlü bir yapı gösterdiği
tespit edilmiştir. Daha sonra elde edilen yapının uygunluğunu kontrol etmek
amacıyla doğrulayıcı faktör analizi uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen model uyum
değerleri test edilen yapının geçerliğinin kabul edilebilir düzeyde olduğunu
göstermiştir. Çalışmada ölçeğin elde edilen cronbach alfa katsayısı .92
bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak ölçek toplam 32 madde ve üç alt boyuttan (algılanan
kimliksel engeller, bireysel ya da çevresel desteklerle ilgili engeller ve
ailevi engeller) oluşan, algılanan kariyer engellerini belirlemede kullanışlı
bir ölçek olduğu görülmüştür.
